No idea if the construction crew decided that they needed more space and this was their way of informing me, or if it was just random a-holes. But whatever, no harm no foul! Rearranged it so that it freed up even more spaces.

Few years back, at a construction site, one of the workers parked their Chrysler 300 in one of the reserved spots for the sales center.

I ended up working late and when I left for the day the car was still there, surrounded by jersey barriers on 3 sides, and a fence made from what appeared to be the same lumber used for telephone poles in front.

I can only imagine his reaction.

We do this for spaces that are being closed off the next day, so drivers can move the barrier/cone, pull out, and then re-place the barrier/cone.

Our local SCCA section used to liberally barrow cones from construction sites. This would be an excellent opportunity to obtain a selection of cones and candle sticks.

My wife’s boss parked in the wrong spot on one of her construction sites, so the dirt contractor thought it would be funny to dig a small trench all the way around his truck. It filled with water and became his own personal moat. He was not amused.

Really? Cause I found that quite amusing!

Sticking it to the man, lol.

Personally I’d be more inclined to thank them for extending the safety area exactly as far as my vehicle so it stayed safe.  Anyone running into a construction barrier and then hitting property behind it is an open and shut case.

You, uh, didn’t happen to miss a sign, did you?

Nope. There was nothing. Just a closed off area which I parked next to.

How well does re-placing the cones thing work?

I’m pretty sure he’s the only one that didn’t think it was funny.

Typically well enough. Most times we leave a note so that probably helps.
